Our story

We built the software we wish we had.

The microschool movement has grown faster than the software supporting it. Founders were opening schools, enrolling families in Step Up and ClassWallet, and then discovering that the administration side — tracking ESA approvals, billing families for both their ESA portion and their private portion, generating compliant reimbursement packets, filing annual learning plans — was a full second job. A job they were doing in spreadsheets.

We're a small team at Aurorum Ventures: microschool parents who've sat in the carpool line wondering if the Step Up payment came through, former educators who know what compliance season does to a school leader's fall, and operators who've built small businesses and understand what it means to do payroll, compliance, and customer service all at once — usually on the same Sunday.

We didn't set out to build school software. We set out to eliminate the specific torture of ESA reconciliation paperwork for people who opened schools because they love teaching, not because they love spreadsheets. Scholaria is what we built.

"Microschools deserve software that matches the way they actually run."

What we believe

Founders first

Every feature we build starts with a real founder workflow. We talk to operators before we write code. Not after.

Simplicity over feature count

You don't need 200 features. You need 10 features that work correctly every time. We cut ruthlessly.

Support that actually supports

When you email us, you get a person who knows the product. Not a chatbot. Not a ticket queue. A person.

Aurorum Ventures

Scholaria is a product of Aurorum Ventures, an independent software studio focused on underserved operators in education and small business. We're not VC-funded. We're not building for an exit. We're building tools we believe should exist, for people who deserve better software.

That means we move deliberately, maintain a small team, and stay close to the founders we serve. We'd rather have 200 schools that love Scholaria than 2,000 who think it's fine.

Where we are right now

FloridaLive

Step Up For Students integration active. Founding cohort open.

ArizonaLive

ClassWallet integration active. Founding cohort open.

TexasComing soon

ESA integration launches when Texas's ESA program goes live.

All states can use billing, parent portal, attendance, and compliance features regardless of ESA integration status.

Want to be part of the founding cohort?

We're working closely with a small group of FL and AZ founders right now. If you want direct input on the product roadmap — and software that actually fits your school — this is the moment.
